START/FINISH LOCATION:
Starbucks. 2030 Douglas Blvd., Suite 12, Roseville, CA 95661.
EVENT TIMES:
Mon-Fri 5AM-10PM; Sat 5AM-8:30PM; Sun 5:30AM-7:30PM. Closed on major holidays.
PROCEDURE:
Ask at the counter for the WALK BOX. Fill in the log sheet and sign, if you are paying a fee, fill in a start card and take a prepaid mailing envelope. Stamp your books and take a map/directions. You will then have to drive approx. 2 miles to do the walk. Driving directions are included with the walk directions. DO NOT INTERRUPT STAFF IF THEY ARE WAITING ON CUSTOMERS AND DO NOT ASK THEM VOLKSSPORT QUESTIONS.
WATER/RESTROOMS:
Restrooms are available at fast food restaurants or along the route at parks. PLEASE CARRY WATER, ESPECIALLY IN HOT WEATHER.
TRAIL RATING/DESCRIPTION:
Both the 5Km and 10Km are rated 1A. Both routes will take you through historic downtown and “old town”. In 1906 the Southern Pacific Railroad moved it facilities to Roseville. In 1909 the city was incorporated. By 1929 the railroad employed up to 1225 people in its Roseville yard. By 1964 the 100 year old city was peaceful, self-contained and embodied the ideal of a small American town. The publishers of Look magazine named Roseville an All American City that year. Roseville has grown into a progressive city with a population of over 100,000.

DIRECTIONS;
From Sacramento go east of I-80. Exit onto eastbound Douglas Blvd. (Exit #103A) and continue approx ˝ mile to the shopping center on your right (Rocky Ridge Town Center, right after crossing Rock Ridge). From Reno, NV go west on I-80 to Douglas Blvd (Exit #103). Turn left at light, go over the freeway approx. ˝ mile to the start location on your right. After you sign in you will drive 2 miles to do the walk. See procedure above.
