EVENT TIMES:
Monday thru Friday: 10 am - 6 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10 am - 5 pm
Walk may be done during daylight hours only.

PROCEDURE:
Look for plastic file box marked "Placer Pacers". Fill out a start card and sign the log. Take a map and have a great walk or bike. When you return stamp your books. Place your start card and money in one of the envelopes and place in locked box. If you ordered an award, please be sure your name and address are legible on the start card. Awards will be mailed. PLEASE DO NOT INTERRUPT STAFF IF THEY ARE WAITING ON CUSTOMERS OR ASK THEM VOLKSSPORT QUESTIONS.WATER/RESTROOMS:
Not available at the bike shop. There are fast food restaurants in the shopping center. There is water along the way. At the barn (2K) there is a porta-potti and restrooms at Discovery Park (near half-way point).TRAIL RATING/DESCRIPTION:
Rated 1+, the route follows a paved pedestrian/bike path and some sidewalks and paved roads. Part of the path is shaded. Suggest carryiing water in hot weather. The bike follows a different route than the walk. It is on some city streets, but mostly on paved bike trails, including the American River bike trail.AWARD:
A full-color embroidered patch depicting a paddle wheel boat and a bridge similar to the picture shown on the front. A 2008 pin to attach to the patch.FEES:
Patch, Pin with IVV Credit $6.00 Pin Only $3.50 IVV Credit Only $2.00 Walk or bike only FREE Please have exact change or a check. Checks should be made payable to Placer Pacers. IVV books will not be available. However, there will be free "insert cards". You will need one for each type of book that you have. This event will take place regardless of weather. NO REFUNDS.DIRECTIONS: From the East: Take I-80 West to Truxel Rd offramp. Turn left at the light and cross over I-80. Continue South to San Juan Rd/Truxel Rd intersection. Bike Shop is in Albertson Center.
From the West: Take I-80 East to Truxel Rd offramp. Turn right at the light and continue South to San Juan Rd/Truxel Rd intersection. Bike Shop is in Albertson Center.
