START/FINISH TIME:  Start any time between 8:00 AM and 12:00 noon.  Finish no later than 3:00 PM.    

START LOCATION:   Mimi’s Cafe, 850 Groveland Lane, Lincoln, CA.    Watch for AVA signs and follow to the start.

DISTANCE:     11 Kilometer with a 5K option.

TRAILS:          Walk will be on city streets and bike trails.  Rated 1.

Wheelchairs and baby strollers are fine.  Pets are allowed (with pick-up) but must be on a leash at all times.  Water available at registration.

AWARD:         The award will be an embroidered patch displayed above.

 PREREGISTRATION:   The award and credit will be $5 if pre-registered by February 15, 2010. After that date award and credit will be $6.00.  Credit only is $3.00.  You may walk free if no credit or award is desired.  Send pre-registration form and check payable to the Placer Pacers, to: PO Box 142, Auburn, CA 95604.  Refunds cannot be provided.

 DIRECTIONS:  From Sacramento or Auburn, take I-80 towards Roseville.  Take CA-65 towards Lincoln.  Turn left on Ferrari Ranch Road (stoplight).  Mimi’s Cafe at the corner of Ferrari Ranch Road and Groveland Lane, on the left.

PROCEDURES:  This event is open to everyone.  Volkssports are noncompetitive events. Each participant, whether free or paid, must register and sign an Amateur Athletic Waiver and Release of Liability (Parent or Guardian must sign for a minor) at the start point.  A control (start) card will be issued upon registration that must be carried during the walk, validated at control points along the route, and turned in at the finish upon completion of the walk.  Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  Water and restrooms will be available at the start and along the route.
